What is Aquafacial?

Aquafacial is a rejuvenating non-invasive facial treatment that refreshes and deep cleanses the skin. It can improve the appearance and texture of skin quickly and effectively. It is an advanced version of the Hydrafacial and is an excellent treatment for any time of the year.

Aquafacial Steps:

Step 1: Deep cleansing – Using a vortex tip, and vacuum suction the uppermost layers of debris and dead skin cells are cleared away.

Step 2: Exfoliation and Extractions – A salicylic acid soultion and suction are used to clear out the pores and deliver acne fighting ingredients to the skin, as well as increases cellular turnover. Salicylic acid is an excellent chemical exfoliant.

Step 3: Hydration – A lightweight hydrating antioxidant serum is applied to the face, using a vortex tip with a gentler level of suction. This plumps fine lines and improves skin texture, as well as providing effective hydration for all skin types.

Step 4: Red or Blue LED Light – A red of blue light diode is applied to the skin, depending upon your skin issues. Blue light helps kill acne bacteria and improves oily skin, red light improves circulation and reduces inflammation, it is also considered anti-aging.

There are certain contraindications to the procedure, such as thin, loose skin, as well as certain medications such as accutane or antibiotics.
